In many international schools, health education is added as an afterthought or tasked to teachers who don’t have enough time or resources to give it the attention it deserves. In this workshop, participants will be guided through the process of creating a comprehensive, skills-based Health & Wellbeing curriculum that can be applicable for grades 5-12 and adapted to align with any set of standards or curricular framework. Participants will leave with ready to use resources, projects and unit plans.

  1. Stress management and mental health
  2. Mindfulness
  3. Technology balance
  4. Sleep
  5. Puberty
  6. Sexual health, consent & healthy relationships
  7. Nutrition for multicultural students
  8. Social/emotional learning in the health class

100% of attendees would recommend this workshop to their peers

Amy’s expertise and willingness to share resources, ideas, and insights was very helpful in clarifying the complex scope of health education in international schools.

Amy Lauren Smith was able to provide a wide overview of structures to implement and review health programs K-12 in a meaningful manner. This was complemented with anchor resources and details for in-class room activities that would enhance teaching practice upon returning to my school. This workshop was very valuable from both a theoretical and practical stand point and I would highly recommend this presentation for any PE and health educator.

So much knowledge and information, so expertly, entertainingly and so willingly given….
