James Brown

Secondary School Physical Education Teacher, St John's Grammar School

James Brown is a secondary Physical Education teacher and coach at St John’s Grammar School in Adelaide, South Australia. James has a passion for sport, physical activity, health and fitness, and channels that passion into his teaching and coaching. As a graduate of Flinders University, James developed a strong understanding of the Thematic and Game Sense approaches to teaching Physical Education, which he now applies at St John’s. He is a scholarship recipient and active member of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER), and has already presented at three of their South Australian State Conferences. James’ conference presentations have involved incorporating video analysis into Physical Education, and have most recently focused on incorporating American Football into Australian (and other Asia–Pacific nation's) Physical Education programs, through a new variation he has created.
