This practical session reframes the role of PE teachers, sports directors and coaches in guiding student-athletes beyond recruitment toward readiness for global opportunities in sport, study, and career. Using frameworks from the U.S., U.K., and Australia, we’ll unpack how school-based systems can intentionally support athletic and academic development from the early years through graduation.
You’ll explore key differences between NCAA, NAIA, and other international pathways, learn how to align academic eligibility with athletic progression, and walk through real strategies to empower students and families to take ownership of their journey. Participants will leave with frameworks, timelines, and actionable models that bridge sport and education, helping every student-athlete become truly recruitable and future-ready.
