Dale Sidebottom, an internationally recognised play consultant and visionary founder of The School of Play, where he leverages his extensive experience spanning over two decades in the education and health sectors. His mission is to illuminate the vital connection between daily play and improved mental health and well-being for schools, clubs, families, and corporations. An accomplished author, Dale penned ‘All Work No Play’, ‘365 Days of Play and ‘The Playful Astronauts’, and hosts the highly acclaimed ‘Energetic Radio podcast. He is renowned as a captivating TEDx speaker, consistently inspiring audiences with his innovative approach to fostering joy and well-being through play. Dale has spoken face to face in 25 countries.

The weekend proved to be an excellent learning experience. Every session I attended over the course of these two days was beneficial. Even during the breaks, I learned a lot from talking with other attendees.

I took my hand luggage to PHASE, and now I’m leaving with extra luggage to Guangzhou (ideas, knowledge, resources, etc.) Thanks to the 21CL team for organizing the PHASE conference.

The Conference in Bangkok was an incredible experience. It was inspiring to connect with such a diverse and passionate community of physical education teachers and leaders – opportunities to share ideas, just talk as well as learn from experienced professionals was invaluable. The keynote talk from Ted was particularly impactful – overall I left the conference highly motivated to bring new energy and ideas back to my own practice.

From start to finish, the conference was engaging and active and ran like a well-oiled machine. Speaks a lot about the work done behind the scenes to line everything up. Each session had practical and valuable takeaways. I loved the balance of the formal (keynote, closing etc) and the informal aspects of the conference. The coffee talk was a genius idea and allowed for authentic, free-flowing conversations in small groups. Felt like everyone could curate and get what they needed from this workshop 🙂 Thank you team PHASE!

The conference proved to be incredibly enriching as it offered valuable insights into the unique challenges and responsibilities of ADs and PE teachers in international schools.

A highlight for me was engaging in one-on-one conversations with accomplished coaches I deeply admire, which left a lasting impression. I left the conference feeling motivated and better equipped to grow as a coach and leader, and I’m excited to continue enhancing the baseball program I’m fortunate to oversee.
