Data Analysis in Sports, Exercise & Health Science/Physical Education for Students

One of the biggest challenges is that students often select the incorrect statistical test to answer their research question/test their hypotheses. This online workshop focuses on guiding students in selecting the correct statistical test for a given research question, performing data analysis (descriptive & inferential statistics) & interpreting results in relation to hypotheses so that they can effectively conduct appropriate statistical analysis for their coursework.

Key Benefits

Testimonials

The SEHS IA workshops delivered by Dr. Sheridan from The Health Exchange over the past 3 years have been immensely beneficial to our students, providing them with clear, structured guidance that has elevated both their understanding and confidence in tackling this aspect of the SEHS curriculum. The workshops focus on developing critical analysis skills, with Dr. Sheridan demonstrating effective ways to analyse, interpret and present the data and evaluate the overall findings.  This has been invaluable in preparing students for their IAs, and the confidence they now have in their projects is evident. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Sheridan’s commitment to fostering academic growth and inspiring a deeper passion for SEHS among our students.

Lee Burns – Head of PHE, Renaissance College – ESF, Hong Kong

For the past two years, Dr. Sinead Sheridan from The Health Exchange has been providing support to my IBDP students for SEHS IA in the form of online student workshops and to me in the form of professional development workshops on feedback and moderation for enhancing student performance. Since working with Sinead, our SL cohorts IA performance has improved from 3 to 5 on average and HL cohorts performance from 4 to 6 on average also. Both the students and I have benefited greatly from her workshops.
