Fostering engagement and belonging in the classroom happens in many different ways and is not a “one size fits all” approach. Integrating meaningful connections and relational contexts into our curriculum and pedagogy can be key to helping ensure that students see their “fit” with what you are teaching about health. In this session, you will explore opportunities to deepen engagement and belonging using Universal Design for Learning principles. This session will highlight opportunities to foster engagement and belonging that go beyond the superficial and seek to support students in making deeper connections to their learning.
