PE / Health Teacher, Seoul International School

Hi, everyone! I teach secondary health and physical education at Seoul International School in South Korea, although I’m originally from Missouri, USA. My path in education has been anything but traditional. I began nearly 20 years ago and along the way I’ve been a substitute teacher, front office receptionist, activities secretary, dance team director, family and consumer sciences teacher, and now a PE and health teacher. I have a BS in Event Planning, an MS in Career and Technology Education, and an EdS in Educational Leadership. Throughout my time in education, I’ve come to see the field from many different perspectives, which fuels my passion for helping students develop life skills that truly matter. Lately, my focus has been on integrating technology into PE to help students take greater ownership of their learning. By using tools like Google Classroom, digital rubrics, and performance dashboards, I strive to make progress visible and meaningful. My goal is to empower students to track their skills growth, reflect on their effort, and use real-time feedback to guide improvement.
