He is currently developing a concept-based SEHS curriculum for Grade 10 and has previously authored a foundational introductory course for SEHS students. Within his school community, Mike has led a variety of impactful professional learning sessions on topics ranging from TGFU and world games, to Make Thinking Visible strategies, and the school-wide implementation of a digital portal for extracurricular activities. At the upcoming conference, Mike will be presenting on “Data Analysis Tools in the SEHS Classroom” — a hands-on workshop designed to empower teachers with the skills and confidence to create, analyse and visualise student-generated data. His practical approach ensures that participants leave with ready-to-use tools and a clearer understanding of how to develop data literacy and critical thinking in their SEHS students.
