Sandy Sinn
Sandy Sinn is a suicide prevention educator and positive psychology practitioner, founder of the Center for Positive Psychology & Wellbeing (CPPWB) and Suicide Intervention Training by Sandy Sinn (SITS). Her mission is to empower schools, families, and communities to respond to mental health challenges with compassion and hope, ensuring no young person feels alone or unsupported. Born and raised in Hong Kong and educated in the UK, US, and Australia, Sandy brings a multicultural perspective that enriches her training and consultancy. Her work is culturally sensitive and tailored to the diverse needs of international schools and communities. As a mother of three grown children, she bridges the worlds of parents, educators, and professionals with empathy and practical insight. Sandy is a LivingWorks ASIST & safeTALK Master Trainer who has delivered evidence-based suicide intervention training across Asia, the UK, Canada, and Vietnam. She develops comprehensive, community-based wellbeing models that combine crisis intervention, positive psychology, and culturally informed approaches. Sandy also designs and leads programs on strengths-based leadership, resilience, mindful parenting, and neurodiversity, fostering inclusive environments supportive of wellbeing. Her approach centers on transforming mindsets by advocating suicide prevention and mental health support as collective responsibilities embedded throughout daily life and school culture. Combining advanced academic training with experience as a school counselor and survivor, Sandy creates safe spaces for honest, hopeful dialogue and builds individual skills while shifting broader culture. Through CPPWB, she champions the "Network of Safety," empowering educators, staff, and parents with the confidence and tools to recognize distress, respond empathetically, and connect young people to help before crises occur. She is also scheduled to present at the RMIT Safeguarding Summit (October 2) and the International Vietnamese Mental Health Conference (October 25), further sharing her expertise with diverse international audiences.
