The School of Play (TSOP) proudly presents the Full-Day Teacher FunShop, a transformative professional learning experience designed to embed play-based learning into school culture.

Participants will examine key developmental milestones, the role of active play in early motor skill acquisition, and practical strategies to bridge the gap between unstructured movement and more structured PE activities.

Participants will get opportunities to trial easily implementable and purposeful modifications to games through simply altering the playing environment and/or equipment to enhance students’ skills, understandings and enjoyment.

In an international school setting, some children's mother tongue is not being taught explicitly. In other cases, it is taught as a second language. How could international schools address the importance of promoting the mother tongue of all of their students?

Participants can join the workshop only, for which they will receive a digital attendance certificate for 12 CPD hours.

This session has been presented as a 60 min feature (lecture style) to over 100 participants (ACHPER, Victoria, Australia, November 2024), in a 20 min oral presentation to academics (TGfU, 8th International conference, Auckland, NZ, December 2024) and in a 70 min interactive workshop (Discovery, Peak Phys Ed, Victoria, Australia, February 2025).

During the interactive two day workshop, you’ll take part in 6 individual modules, each taking you through a step-by-step approach to the event and leaving you with in-depth knowledge of how to teach athletics to students of all abilities.
