Around the World in Sporty Ways is a practical and inspiring showcase of sports and physical activities from across the globe. Participants will take part in dynamic taster sessions of Kabaddi (a strategic tag game originating in Central Asia), Gaelic Football (an exciting rugby–soccer hybrid from Ireland), American Football (Non-contact variations) and Handball (a fast-paced sport popular across Central Europe).
Each session is designed to empower and energise participants, providing them with the confidence, skills, and ideas needed to integrate these activities into their own curriculum. To support this, every participant will receive a set of clear, ready-to-use documents, including guidance on rules, adaptations, and lesson ideas, making implementation in schools both accessible and sustainable.
All activities are fully transferable across a wide range of ages and abilities, with inclusivity at their core. The sessions emphasise adaptability, teamwork, and engagement, ensuring that every learner can participate meaningfully, regardless of experience or background. This approach enables schools to celebrate global cultures through sport while promoting inclusive, high-quality physical education.
