Overview
This interactive workshop explores the journey from Physical Development (PD) in the early years to Physical Education (PE) highlighting how foundational movement skills shape lifelong physical competence. Participants will examine key developmental milestones, the role of active play in early motor skill acquisition, and practical strategies to bridge the gap between unstructured movement and more structured PE activities.
Through hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world examples, educators and caregivers will gain insights into fostering confident movers, ensuring a seamless transition from early childhood physical development to a love for movement and sport.
