Compassionate Systems Framework* combines two key components: 1) systems thinking tools to raise awareness of the interconnectedness of complex issues, and 2) practices and approaches that develop or enhance emotional literacy.
Using the systems thinking tools in PE we can increase awareness and understanding of issues or challenges related to PE practice (in the role of teacher) or members of the PE department (in the role of leader). Adopting mindfulness practices and approaches can generate emotional literacy among students, staff and parents, strengthening the interconnectedness of individuals, groups, and/or teams.
Participants will take part in activities that introduce and use two-three tools. We will also show videos and/or photos of this in action. The session ends with journaling and a table check in to prepare possible actions and accountability.
