Universal Design for Learning is an evidence-based framework that benefits all learners regardless of gender, race, age, and/or disability. It is aimed to reduce barriers and optimize teaching and learning for all individuals.
In this workshop, participants explore barriers that students face in PE. Participants will explore the three main principles of UDL that guide lesson planning, assessment, and instruction. Examples of best practice of UDL used in PE will be shared.
Participants will:
Gain knowledge about the UDL framework and its three principles.
Explore examples of what the UDL framework looks like in a PE setting.
