Shrehan Lynch

Senior Lecturer in Secondary Initial Teacher Education & Co-founder BAMEPE, The University of East London

Shrehan is a physical education lecturer and teacher educator at the University of East London. She teaches trainee teachers on the PGCE, school direct, and apprenticeship programme. She specialises in research on teacher education, physical education, and social justice. Her PhD (awarded December 2018 from the University of Alabama, USA) examined transformative pedagogies in primary and secondary physical education and teacher education. She adopts social justice and critical/feminist theories to frame her work and draws upon narrative and ethnographic inquiry. Before lecturing, she was a PE teacher in an inner-city school in London. During her PhD, she worked as teaching faculty in the Department of Kinesiology and was a Qualitative Research Assistant at the University of Alabama.
