BallroomBees is a premier education and play-based dance programme for children aged 18 months to 12 years, founded in 2019 by Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Virshilas and world champion Klaus Kongsdal Jensen. Our mission is to empower, enrich, and educate children through the magic of dance and movement. By blending core ballroom and Latin dancing principles with high-energy activities, creative movement, obstacle courses and choreography set to chart-topping hits, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where young learners can thrive.
Our curriculum is expertly designed to foster social confidence, physical coordination, gross motor skills, and cognitive development. Through a structured, age-appropriate framework ranging from our “MiniBees” to our “MightyBees” groups we provide the right balance of challenge and reward to ensure every student advances with skill.
More than just a dance programme, BallroomBees is a community that emphasizes inclusivity, teamwork, and etiquette, helping children overcome shyness, build self-esteem, and learn that movement is a powerful form of expression. Fully integrated into Hong Kong’s education, wellness, and lifestyle community, we are dedicated to helping every child shine, both in school and life.
