In this workshop, we will take a skills-based approach to a traditional ATOD unit. Students don’t need scare tactics or lots of drug facts. What they do need are the skills to evaluate risk, make decisions, and communicate those choices. Teachers will walk away with examples of learning activities, projects, and assessments that will make their ATOD unit more relevant, engaging, and meaningful for students.
