This practical, interactive session invites PE teachers to rethink how we design and deliver physical education for diverse learners, including students with SEND, different abilities, skill levels, learning needs, confidence levels, and communication styles.
Rather than viewing inclusion as simply adapting an activity for an individual learner, the session explores how teachers can build flexibility and meaningful participation into PE from the beginning. Participants will explore practical strategies, inclusive coaching approaches, and simple models for modifying space, tasks, equipment, rules, grouping, and roles.
Through hands-on activities, collaborative challenges, and real PE scenarios, participants will have opportunities to redesign familiar activities and consider how small changes can create more meaningful opportunities for every learner to participate, progress, and succeed.
