Kaila Bonnell

Physical Education and Wellness Teacher, Canadian International School of Phnom Penh

Kaila Bonnell is a physical and wellness education teacher at the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where she has taught K-12. She is particularly interested in the ways physical education can be a culturally relevant, safe, and empowering for all students. She completed her Master of Arts in health, outdoor, and physical education at the University of British Columbia, in Canada, where she did research on sexuality education as a public pedagogy, and research on the inclusion of body size and ethnic diversity in physical and health education. She completed her Bachelor of Education in physical and health education at McGill University, in Montreal, Canada, where she did research on accessibility to physical activity opportunities for people living with physical disabilities.
