Manos Volikakis

ES PE HOD, The KAUST School

Manos Volikakis is a Physical Education Specialist at The KAUST School in Saudi Arabia. A French Canadian from Trois-Rivières, Quebec—a city celebrated for its rich sporting legacy—Manos has dedicated 17 years to education across three countries, focusing on elementary Physical Education and Athletic Administration. Growing up in a community that has produced numerous professional athletes and Olympians, he developed a deep passion for sports, playing hockey and soccer seasonally and later excelling in both hockey & American football during middle and high school. At university, he focused on American football, and after moving to Korea, he competed at a semi-professional level in hockey. As a father of three young boys, aged 3, 4, and 6, Manos embraces a family-centered approach to sports. Previously an Athletic Director and Head of a Hockey Program in Korea, he relocated to Saudi Arabia to prioritize family life. Now in his third year at The KAUST School, Manos brings expertise and enthusiasm to his role. Collaborating with a motivated team, he designs programs that inspire curiosity, resilience, and creativity. Whether coaching, organising events, or developing the new PE curriculum, his mission is to ignite a lifelong love of physical activity in every student.
