Marian Cabezas is the Founder & Strategic Director of the Swimderful Method and an international aquatic educator with more than 30 years of experience specializing in infant, early childhood, and adaptive aquatic education. She has dedicated her career to understanding how children learn in water, integrating principles of child development, motor learning, family engagement, and inclusive aquatic education into practical, child-centered teaching strategies. Throughout her career, Marian has worked with thousands of children—including infants as young as three months, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, visual and hearing impairments, and other developmental profiles—while mentoring swim instructors and supporting families through evidence-informed aquatic education. Her work has been featured in international media, and she is the creator of the Swimderful Method, an educational approach designed to promote confidence, independence, inclusion, and lifelong engagement with water from the earliest stages of development. Marian is committed to advancing aquatic education by bridging developmental science with everyday teaching practice, helping professionals better understand not only how to teach children in water, but how children learn in water.
