Phil Mathe is the Head of Student Opportunities at the British International School Riyadh. A hardworking, dynamic, and inspirational educator, he brings a unique blend of leadership, teaching excellence, and real-world experience to his role. With extensive middle and senior management experience in both UK and international education settings, Phil is known for his effective leadership, innovative thinking, and commitment to student development. Before entering education, he spent 15 years in business and sales, gaining a strong foundation in negotiation, project management, and strategic leadership. Phil thrives on developing new programmes and initiatives that engage students and school communities. He is passionate about integrating emerging technologies into academics and curriculum design, and he’s a confident and engaging public speaker who brings energy and insight to every opportunity. He holds an NPQSL, an MA in Educational Pedagogy, and is currently completing a PhD in Educational Research with the University of Nottingham.
