With 20 years in education, including 8 years in Shanghai as Head of Department and Athletic Director for YKPao School, I am a lifelong advocate for Ultimate Frisbee. I competed and coached at a high level in Belgium before bringing that expertise to middle and high school programs over the past 15 years. Since 2019, I’ve served as the Ultimate Frisbee League Coordinator for the Shanghai Schools Sports Association (SSSA), growing the U19 division from 7 teams in 2018 to 35 teams in 2026, a testament to the sport’s rising prominence in Shanghai’s schools. And more recently as Chairman of the SSSA (2024–present), I lead a non-profit network of 40+ schools, championing our mission to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate competitions that prioritize gender equality, diversity, and holistic student-athlete development. Through the SSSA, we empower schools to collaborate, innovate, and elevate youth sports across Shanghai.
