Richard Henry Allen Ferguson

Physical Education, XCL World Academy

Richard Ferguson is an experienced Physical Education and Sports Science educator with over 17 years of international teaching experience across New Zealand, Taiwan, and Singapore. He currently teaches at XCL World Academy and has previously held leadership roles including Regional Head of Physical Education for One School Global, where he led curriculum development across 17 campuses. Richard holds a Master’s degree in Health Science (Sport and Exercise) from Massey University, graduating with Merit. His research explores the experiences of third culture students, with a focus on how perceptions of masculinity and femininity influence participation and engagement in Physical Education. He has presented this work at the Physical Education New Zealand (PENZ) national conference. His work is driven by a commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice, and supporting all students to thrive in diverse learning environments.
