This practical, one-day workshop led by Professor Shane Pill invites PE teachers from across Elementary, Middle, and High School to think about curriculum content as key concepts structured through a thematic curriculum design. Concept-based PE has been found to be more likely than conventional PE to promote out-of-school physical activity and to build the habit of mind to be active into the future.

Agency in Action is an immersive workshop for educators who want to deepen their understanding of how student agency can be fostered in meaningful and practical ways. Participants will observe a live lesson and engage in guided reflection and analysis to explore the teaching moves and learning conditions that make student agency visible in practice.

This entry-level course, the  SWIM Australia™ Teacher (SAT), has the competence and knowledge to teach swimming and water safety to independent learners from ages 2.5 years upward, emphasising safety, fun, and skill development.

This course covers liability for sports injuries, negligence, and risk management practices for athletic administrators.

Instructors will present important issues and effective response strategies for 3 contemporary topics within the International Athletic Community and Programs (selected from the 6 available for LTC 910).
