Agenda Overview

Keynotes

Workshops

This presentation will offer practical tips about how to leverage support from your entire school community to provide a memorable experience for all attendees at tournaments you host. The topics covered will include: securing administration support, developing staff buy-in, building relationships with parents, long-term planning, tournament branding and media, and ideas for social activities.

Good or bad, culture exists. The type of culture you have within a sports program is primarily up to the coaches and athletic directors. Using a structure that includes the “People, Place, and Plan” along with practical examples from sports, this workshop will provide an overview of the components that make up culture in an athletic program. Furthermore, it will provide usable ideas for developing the culture you actually want.

“Sports builds character.” We’ve all said it. It’s shown to be true, just not in the way we typically think. We will look at the two categories of character, identify potentials and pitfalls within our sports and then suggest strategies that will optimize our opportunities for the immediate and lifelong formation of what we truly value.

Stress and burnout are real in sports, and turnover in coaching and sports administration is higher than in many professions. Coaches and athletic directors are often exposed to high-stress situations, and if methods to limit or reduce those stressors are not in place, burnout can occur. This workshop explains what stressors are most likely to occur and provides 12 ways to mitigate them.

There really is a formula for change! C= D x V x F.SR or in our language

C=3DR. We will process the parts to understand the whole. This truly will help you discern what’s needed for changing anything: from losing weight to transforming culture!

3D Institute has courses for coaches, parents, administrators. We have partners with benefits. We have a library of strategies and we have staff available to serve you in creating a culture that every kid would want to be a part of that influences lives. In this session we will walk you through what’s available through our online platform and resources.

“Well, that was a waste of time,” I’ve said or heard about a session at a clinic/conference/workshop on more than one occasion. While intended to educate, sometimes the topics do not align with the attendees’ needs. Therefore, this workshop will do something different to resolve this issue by fostering a networking and discussion environment through Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS). Participants will generate the topics for discussion and leverage the collective experiences of their peers to create practical solutions to the real-world challenges they face.

Practical information for starting or improving your coach evaluation process so that it helps to not only keep your coaches happy but also developing into the best coaches they can be within your school’s philosophy and expectations.

This session is also open to coaches!

Let’s dive into the job of an AD and talk about; who we are, what’s our role, and what characteristics we need to not only survive but thrive. We will explore some of the essential skills that set a great AD apart from the rest. While focusing on some challenges faced, we will uncover the strategies needed to keep ADs thriving. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your expertise, this workshop will provide valuable insights and include thoughts and ideas from ADs around the world.
