What does meaningful movement education look like beyond teaching sports skills?
Drawing on the implementation of the Vivo Kids curriculum across more than 30 Vinschool Kindergartens in Vietnam, this session explores how movement, play, and physical literacy can be intentionally embedded into the early years curriculum to support children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Participants will gain insight into the philosophy and methodology behind the Vivo Kids approach, including how play-based movement experiences are designed to maximise engagement, confidence, skill development, and enjoyment. Vivian will also share key lessons learned from scaling and adapting the programme across multiple schools, including challenges, successes, and practical considerations for implementation.
The session will conclude with hands-on examples, games, and activities that bring these principles to life and can be immediately adapted for use in participants’ own settings.
Attendees will leave with:
- A deeper understanding of physical literacy and play-based movement in the early years
- Practical strategies for designing engaging movement experiences
- Insights into curriculum implementation and scaling across diverse school contexts
- Ready-to-use games and activities that support movement, learning, and wellbeing
This session is ideal for PE teachers, early years educators, curriculum leaders, and school leaders interested in building a positive culture of movement through play.
