How can a school move from the idea of Unified Sports to creating a programme that becomes part of its school culture?
This practical workshop explores the journey of building a Unified Sports programme in schools—from understanding the principles of Unified Sports and Unified Coaching to planning the first practice and developing a sustainable programme. Participants will explore practical coaching approaches, including the TREE and STEP models, to adapt activities and create meaningful participation for all athletes.
The session will take participants through key stages of implementation, including gaining school support, preparing coaches and athletes, designing inclusive practices, developing student leadership, organising games and competitions, and creating strategies for long-term sustainability.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to start, develop, and sustain Unified Sports in their own school, along with practical ideas they can put into action immediately.
