A quality and purposeful physical education is the cornerstone to any quality educational experience. It not only provides the developing of movement competencies in our students, it can also foster the passion, motivation, confidence and understanding to be active for life.

Unfortunately this does not come naturally to a PE program through its curriculum alone. Purposeful planning and integration of these concepts needs to be strategically planned and placed throughout the PE programs experience. Together we will explore some research that supports the foundations of a high quality PE program and explore the steps to creating or improving your current program through strategic planning, designing units that align to your strategic plan and how assessment can be used to foster and communicate your plan with students, parents and administration.
