This presentation will provide the opportunity to discuss and explore the importance of teaching menstrual hygiene for the overall well-being of students from Grade 6-12. Participants will be guided through a practical approach to seamlessly integrate menstrual hygiene education into existing curriculum. The session will not only be informative, but also hands-on, providing opportunities for engaging activities designed to enhance the learning experience of your students.
Moreover, the workshop will shine a spotlight on the importance of service learning, encouraging participants to actively contribute to eradicating period poverty within their own communities. Drawing inspiration from the experiences of menstruating individuals in Western Nepal, we will explore how educators can play a pivotal role in raising awareness and fostering empathy. Participants will also gain valuable insight into the art of facilitating open discussions on this critical topic. Recognizing the need for a safe and inclusive space, the presentation will provide practical strategies to empower educators to create an environment where students feel comfortable sharing, asking questions, and deepening their understanding of menstrual hygiene.
