Nate was born and raised in the valleys of northern Utah. In 2008, Nate was accepted to the University of Utah where spent 7 years developing a theoretical expertise in applied sport psychology. While at the U of U, Nate played as a Face Off Specialist for the Utes Lacrosse Team, Founded The Iota Kappa Chapter of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and, upon graduation, opened Mental Grit Consulting an applied sport psychology practice serving teenage athletic programs. Alongside his practice, Nate accepted a position as a Director for Health Promotion for Orriant, a corporate health and wellness company after graduation. He spent 3 years at Orriant developing and delivering corporate wellness promotion programming for hundreds of corporations and thousands of employees across the United States through onsite workshops and interactive online education programs. As Mental Grit expanded, Nate shifted his focus from corporate wellness to human performance initiatives in 2018. He then took on an operational role and became a subject matter expert with Mission 6 Zero. Nate helped develop and deliver a comprehensive training curriculum, which evolved into the Amazon best-selling book "Deliberate Discomfort." This work also led to a high-level master class that continues to be part of the M60 leadership development program today. Nate's curiosity and philosophy of mastery have driven him back to the University of Utah to complete an Executive MBA. He is on a continuous quest to find the most effective ways to democratize mental skills training, making it accessible to athletes worldwide. Passionate about the role of the mind in daily performance, Nate's high-energy workshops are brimming with fun, laughter, and practical techniques. Participants find immediate value in applying these methods in their personal pursuit of excellence. Nate is married to Camille, and they have three children: a son, Thatcher; a daughter, Rosalie; and their newest addition, Tripp Wilder. Lastly, Nate is still an athlete at heart enjoying the swim, bike and run of Ironman Triathlon.
