Steve is a qualified teacher who has worked across all key stages and various leadership roles in schools. This led to a role within the Football Association and the PE unit where Steve was the regional manager. This role allowed Steve and his team to visit hundreds of Primary schools across the country. From here Steve co-founded Beyond the Physical with Paul Quinn. Beyond the Physical work with schools in the UK, Northern Ireland and all over the world with several schools in the Asia region accessing their scheme of work and subject support. The scheme is a physical literacy, mastery-based curriculum which is the only approach of its kind and one that is transforming PE in the many contexts we work within. Steve is studying for his Doctorate at Leeds Beckett University focused on mastery-based learning in PE.
