In this hands-on workshop, attendees will concentrate on the transformative potential of mobile devices, such as iPads and Android Tablets, within the PE classroom. Please bring a mobile device and be prepared to download the necessary apps before the workshop begins (a list will be provided beforehand). We won’t just be playing games though, we’ll also be showcasing some great classroom management and skill development pieces you can take home and implement in your class.

In this workshop, we’ll work through a series of running drills which will introduce our students to the fundamental movement skills of sprinting, we’ll learn to perform a basic sprint start and acceleration, and we’ll develop the key techniques for the hurdles.

In an international school setting, some children's mother tongue is not being taught explicitly. In other cases, it is taught as a second language. How could international schools address the importance of promoting the mother tongue of all of their students?

As a local student in an international school I lived through many experiences that I didn't understand until very recently. In 2019, students at international schools around the world began to protest against schools that were impeding them from their own values, traditions and languages.

This session begins with the premise that 'thinking is the engine of learning' and explores how we can support game-based practical approaches with an environment, intentional questions, and purposeful interactional routines to enhance thinking

This workshop will overview setting classroom ground rules, designing student-centered learning activities, answering student questions, and will dig deep into the ‘why’ behind keeping all genders together for puberty education.
