This workshop intends to talk through processes and procedures that have helped lead curriculum change in Health and PE departments. Throughout the workshop, participants will interact with several resources, including transformational leadership practices, Lippitt-Knoster Model for leading change and Elena Aguilar’s – Mind the Gap: The key to working with adult learners. During the workshop, participants will do some self reflections of themselves and their position as well as reflect on their current practices and procedures. Participants will hear examples from an emerging teacher coach and how these resources have helped develop pedagogical approaches as well as better outcomes for students. At the end of the workshop participants will hopefully walk away with an action step that is relevant to their role, whether they are a current leader or aspiring leader in the field of PE and Health.
