This workshop introduces the fundamental movement skills that support the jumping events, using fun, accessible activities to build coordination, control, and confidence.
The workshop begins with a competition-style warm-up, before exploring skipping, coordination, and rhythm challenges that develop the balance, control, and timing needed for successful jumping.
Next, we will begin learning to land, focusing on how to time a two-foot landing to absorb force safely and stay balanced—an essential skill for long and triple jump.
