Introduction to Sensory Integration Theory by an experienced Occupational Therapist. This presentation will introduce you to Sensory Processing Disorder, what the signs and symptoms may be and how to provide practical strategies in the classroom to support the children to perform at their best.
Introduction to Break it Kids – Introducing a new and unique interactive movement break for young learners, to promote physical, emotional and mental well-being and help kids self-regulate. Break it Kids is not only fun and engaging, but also has a sound pedagogical background, using movements based on Sensory Integration Theory. Using 10-minute themed videos, kids are taken on a three-part movement journey, through imaginary worlds. Using these carefully thought-out activities, not only helps to fulfil the daily movement requirements for most curricula, but also empowers kids to manage their own behaviour and ultimately enjoy better academic outcomes.
