Physical and Health Education are powerful agents for change within the Education system. The newly released Canadian Competencies for Physical and Health Education were developed to push peoples’ understanding of just that, and ensure that all students have access to quality, inclusive and equitable PHE.
By taking a comprehensive, (w)holistic, student-centered approach, this document is intended to illustrate everything that Physical and Health Education can, and should, be. This presentation will outline how PHE Canada is using this document to support pre- and in-service educators, and advocate for change within the system in Canada, and internationally.
