This session is meant to support new and veteran teachers who need practical ideas about ways to organize any Physical Education lesson, in order to create an atmosphere of safety, fun, and an appropriate pace of learning. Unpacking these strategies will help teachers find and stay in the flow, will save time, and will support students’ social and emotional development throughout the school year. Learning routines to use before, during, and after the lesson will enable teachers to connect with their students from the first day and to never have to use discipline methods in order to draw and keep students’ attention, introduce a new concept, or during high energy level activities. These strategies and routines will also help support and promote self-regulation.
