Sparked by the word “Assessment Literacy” by Singapore Education Minister during SkillsFuture for Educators speech, it is essential for teachers to improve our assessment literacy. But what about students? How can I engage students to be more motivated during their learning journey? Will handing them the reins to become assessors literate in Physical Education lessons expand their horizons to willingly take accountability for life-long learning?
Since then, consistent exploration and experimentation have led to my discovery of more effective assessment methods. As a building member of a technology experimental school, I have embarked on a journey to utilise a set of technologically enabled assessment tools that serve my ultimate goal.
