This session will focus on how we can bring Culturally responsive teaching to the Physical and Health Education classroom.
This workshop explains what stressors are most likely to occur and provides 12 ways to mitigate them.

Compassionate Systems Framework* combines two key components: 1) systems thinking tools to raise awareness of the interconnectedness of complex issues, and 2) practices and approaches that develop or enhance emotional literacy.
During the presentation, we will demonstrate a range of ideas for different units that demonstrate student-centred learning. This can be shown through curriculum work or through service learning, related to Physical Education (Sport Leaders)
In this session, we’ll explore how weight bias affects teaching practices and student outcomes, and how to recognise and challenge these biases to foster school environments that embrace body diversity.
Participants can join the workshop only, for which they will receive a digital attendance certificate for 12 CPD hours.
Attendees will be able to describe the foundational tenets of the Common Ground Collaborative (CGC) approach and explain how inquiry and concept-based pedagogies are intentionally integrated within physical education.
