Falling is an intrinsic part of learning how not to fall. Kids should be moving and playing as much as possible, and that means they are going to fall from time to time - and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, it’s an essential part of our natural coordination development.
In this workshop, we’ll work through a series of running drills which will introduce our students to the fundamental movement skills of sprinting, we’ll learn to perform a basic sprint start and acceleration, and we’ll develop the key techniques for the hurdles.
This session will provide a brief overview of these models and then provide time for attendees to experience and discuss how these models can be blended to enhance student learning.
