Join us for an interactive workshop focused on developing a school-based strength and conditioning (S&C) programme that goes beyond traditional approaches to focus on overall movement quality and long-term athletic development of students.
Confidence may be the most important mental attribute when it comes to performance. We will identify the three components to confidence and how you as a coach/teacher can move someone from a false confidence or lack of confidence to a robust confidence.
Our interactive workshop will help take the sometimes-dreaded “puberty lessons and transform your classes into movement-based learning spaces.
A hands-on workshop designed specifically for Primary PE teachers and coaches who want to elevate their lesson delivery through the layering method, a teaching strategy that breaks skills down into clear, manageable steps, building towards full games or movement sequences.
In the workshop, we begin by looking at a range of hypothetical trip itineraries from this perspective. Which of the trips has a strong narrative and which are missing this opportunity? Discuss how in each case the narrative element - or lack thereof - may affect the overall memorability, excitement and the likely engagement level of the students throughout.
This session explores the essential skills, rules, and strategies of netball, designed specifically for physical education settings.
Depending on the teachers' level, I can do: 1. Backhand 2. Forehand 3. Cutter drills 4. Advice to build up school teams and frisbee rules
Participants will explore practical routines for goal-setting, reflection, and student choice so learners can engage in different ways, demonstrate learning through multiple formats, and develop stronger self-management, social, and thinking skills through meaningful PE challenges.
Participants will experience foundational trampoline skills, explore creative games and challenges, and discover simple ways to develop balance, coordination, body control and confidence through trampolining.
This presentation will introduce the concepts and principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and how they can be embedded into your physical education program.
