This session is meant to support new and veteran teachers who need practical ideas about ways to organize any Physical Education lesson, in order to create an atmosphere of safety, fun, and an appropriate pace of learning.
Using one unit of inquiry (individual pursuits) we will unpack opportunities to empower students to make choices and connections, improve physical competence in an area meaningful to them and challenge their creative and critical thinking.

Introduction to what is Grounding and Self-Regulation
During the session, we will unpack how a psychologically safe environment is connected to a learning perspective.
Early in the 2021 school year of Australian schooling, a groundswell of media attention resulted in calls for schools to address consent matters within the context of Respectful Relationships programs. The media attention was driven by young women who had been motivated to share their stories of harassment and assault on social media.
