This study compares and contrasts the expectations of a Director of Sport (DoS) held by Chinese and British-trained Physical Education (PE) teachers in a bilingual school in Hangzhou, China.

This workshop equips Primary PE teachers, swim teachers, and coaches with the foundational skills needed to deliver impactful Physical Education lessons.

Both Australia and the UK are reporting declining numbers in swimming ability, the RLSS UK Rookie Lifeguard program is a water safety and lifesaving skills program for children aged 8-12, designed to teach self-rescue, survival, rescue, and lifesaving sports skills in a fun and engaging way, in this session learn how to embrace and embed a water safety and lifesaving program throughout your aquatic provision across all year groups.

Embodied affectivity in physical education is a brief explanation of my research on the affective domain of learning in PE (in my case in the Early Years but potentially relevant to other age groups). I would discuss what is observable and meaningful to both the students and teacher, and offer pedagogical strategies to support student learning.

This session will explore strategies to support student learning in human sexuality, social and emotional competencies, and mental health. Walk away from this session with concrete ideas that align with Health Education curricula outcomes, including ready-to-use lesson plans and in-class activities.
