Presentations
During the presentation, we will demonstrate a range of ideas for different units that demonstrate student-centred learning. This can be shown through curriculum work or through service learning, related to Physical Education (Sport Leaders)
In this session, we’ll explore how weight bias affects teaching practices and student outcomes, and how to recognise and challenge these biases to foster school environments that embrace body diversity.
In this session, we will introduce fundamental skills for badminton like basic grip and movement, and also different feeding skills & technique (with & without badminton racket).
In this session, we’ll look at curated unit and lesson plans that work across grade levels and give students meaningful opportunities to build and practice essential health literacy skills.
Participants will explore practical routines for goal-setting, reflection, and student choice so learners can engage in different ways, demonstrate learning through multiple formats, and develop stronger self-management, social, and thinking skills through meaningful PE challenges.
Participants will experience foundational trampoline skills, explore creative games and challenges, and discover simple ways to develop balance, coordination, body control and confidence through trampolining.
Understanding these intertwined threads and how they interact matters for the development and support of healthy school communities where all members can flourish.
The focus of equity and inclusion in education is that we are able to cater to the needs of ALL our student learners.
